About Mark Carroll, Author:

After an overlong career managing financial affairs for a large public agency, Mark took early retirement so he could pursue his life dream of performing Barber's Adagio for Strings at Carnegie Hall. Since Mark cannot play violin (never took a lesson), and cannot even read music, he soon decided that achieving this dream was not likely. Not one to be discouraged, he instead wrote a mystery novel, The Sword of Tecumseh, the first Logan Wells (Prairie Stop IN) mystery. He recently completed (2024) the second installment in the series: The Last Dunes Girl.

Like Logan, Mark grew up in a small town in Indiana (Valparaiso IN). Mark graduated from Franklin & Marshall College (Lancaster PA), where he made the Dean's List, and set a few school records while competing on the cross-country and track teams. He attended graduate school at the University of Missouri-St. Louis before working in public finance.

Mark lives in St. Louis MO with his wife Carol and dog Lucy, and they have two adult sons. Until recently, Mark competed competitively in area road races, and even once, not too long ago, won his age group in the Valparaiso Popcorn Panic 5-mile run. (A big race held in Valpo in early September.)

Thanks to all for the interest in my mystery novel, The Sword of Tecumseh! The novel was published by Coffeetown Press (part of Epicenter Press) in March 2019. The book is available for purchase on-line through Amazon, either in paperback or via Kindle.

I have just completed my second Logan Wells Prairie Stop mystery: The Last Dunes Girl, which will be published by Coffeetown Press in November 2024. Information on the novel will be available on their website. It will be for sale at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other book sellers.

If you like either of my mystery novels, I request that you please tell your friends about it and/or post an appropriate review on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Thanks again!
